The South Kitsap Chamber concentrates on promoting local businesses and encouraging residents to visit their local neighborhood merchants. Port Orchard and the greater South Kitsap area are a fun and unique community. The downtown area offers great gift buying solutions from toys, candy, and antiques to “retro” home and northwest decor. Port Orchard also has access to all the staples you could need. Supermarkets, hardware stores, auto dealers, trade services and the regular array of professional services.Â
The area offers many different dining opportunities ranging from burger-style diners to fun pubs and fine dining. You can find just about anything you are looking for in South Kitsap.Â
While you are here make sure you check out the many different parks and recreational areas. We have some great playgrounds, ballfields, and beach-accessible waterfront. You can swim, fish, or just get out on your boat. South Kitsap is surrounded on 3 1/2 sides by saltwater beaches and has many freshwater lakes too.Â
It is easy to get to Port Orchard and the South Kitsap area. You can reach us by car or boat/ferry. Washington State ferries offer 4 routes to Kitsap County and Kitsap Transit offers 3 fast/passenger-only ferries from downtown Seattle. Whether getting away for the day or stopping by on your way to the Olympic Peninsula we are a great place to visit.Â
Come on out and see for yourself.

The 2023 Legislative session has kicked off and there will be many important issues decided during the next 100 days or so. Over the course of this session, the Legislature will review hundreds of bills.
The South Kitsap Chamber in conjunction with the Association of Washington Businesses will be following many of the bills that deal with many different business issues.
I would encourage you to sign up for our Governmental Affairs update emails. Once more information becomes available on current bills we will also post updates on our Governmental Affairs page.
The Governmental Affairs page also has information about contacting local legislators, AWB legislative priorities, and links to additional bill information.

It is time for you to be a part of the 2023 Chamber directory and community guide!!
For 2023 we are changing things up a little bit... By creating
two publications.
The first publication will be a Community Guide, which will be updated and generic. It will contain information on the area, events, neighborhoods, and other useful community information. We will be able to use this same publication for multiple years.
The second publication will be the Business Directory containing all of our members and services in it. This publication will be updated yearly.
